Patience...

I'm glad to see that I was not the only person upset by the last couple postings by Joseph Herrin. The reason I was upset is because I know the things Joseph wrote about polygamy in the Word of God is totally true. My soul and my flesh cry out "NO IT'S NOT FAIR!" and the very temptation is to rail on the messenger (Joseph). But I did not rail at him because I have to seek the Will of the Lord in all things. I have a very sinful past that was brought back up to my mind while reading these posts and it is a very delicate subject for anyone who has not has a pure sexual life up until now. Our culture here in America is saturated with sexual immorality and I have been just as guilty in my past. The Lord has forgiven me for my past sins and I am to forget those things which are behind and reach forward to unto the things ahead. (Phillipians 3:13)

The Lord gave me specific verses at the beginning of this trip for me to hold onto in times of heartache or doubt. He gave me Isaiah 54 but specifically:

Isa 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Isa 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

so until the Lord says different, the Lord is my husband. He has also given specific guidelines on the subject to women (harsh as it may be to our flesh and minds to grasp.):

1Cr 7:34 There is difference [also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please [her] husband.
1Cr 7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
1Cr 7:36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of [her] age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
1Cr 7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
1Cr 7:38 So then he that giveth [her] in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth [her] not in marriage doeth better.
1Cr 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
1Cr 7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

Here is the latest post from Joseph Herrin asking for patience on this subject

Patience Urged

Joseph Herrin is a man who is walking by the spirit of the Lord. He has taken on a very contraversial subject and I have seen by multiple proofs that he tries to do the will of the Father in everything he does. I believe he has the ministry of an apostle, since apostles bring new light to a generation, and although my flesh has had a hard time reading these posts (which I believe are inspired and completely 100% on the Word), they are definately new light on the subject. Please pray for him as he continues to teach on this subject.

more on polygamy...

Hey! Don't kill the messenger. Here is more from Joseph Herrin:

Plural Marriage

I'm back in Oregon now. It was a really good trip to see the grandparents. I also got to visit with my son who is looking very good these days, (although a little on the skinny side)!

hmmm...

Joseph Herrin has a third installment at Parables blog:
Lawful Polygamy
I have to admit I had a very very hard time with this posting and cried while I was reading it. But I believe it is the truth of the Word which is why it upset me so much.

oh what a wicked world...

Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Joseph Herrin at Parablesblog has some interesting posts concerning marriage etc:
The Marriage Covenant - Introduction
The Marriage Covenant - The First Foundation
Foundation Two - The Body as a Temple

Even Coach Daubenmire has a post today on a similar topic

SPIRITUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

Repent of fornication. Our society is saturated with it, which is why God instructs us to come out from among them and be ye seperate.

Prepare NOW!

Repent and seek the Lord NOW and it maybe that he will hide you in the days to come!

Visiting with the grandfolks...

My grandfather was telling me he lost a friend. He is 91 years old so I thought he was telling me that his friend had died. That is not what he was saying. Apparantly the friend and him were discussing Obama and my grandfather told his friend that he didnt like Obama. The friend called him a racist. Crazy crazy days.

On another note: A poll in New Jersey found that 8% believe Obama is the antichrist with 13% undecided. I think he is an antichrist but I dont know if he is THE antichrist. But there are lots and lots of antichrists out there so that is no big deal.

Wow, guess where I am tonight?

I'm just down the street from the local Montana National Guard/FEMA exercises! You can read about it here, here and here. Right, earthquake preparations with full on haz-mat uniforms. Uh huh.

Rocky start...

We started out at 6:15am this morning and by 6:45 were in a bit of a fender bender! Thankfully no one was hurt and there was very minimal damage to the three vehicles involved. After that things went much more smoothly.

We are stopped for the night in Kellogg, Idaho. Nice little town and had a nice dinner and now we are relaxing before bedtime.

will try to post again soon!

Eagle Saints

I've recently read an online book by Bill Britton called Eagle Saints Arise. You can read it here.

I am packing today to go out on the road with my family to Wyoming. We will be on the road for the next 2 and a half weeks. I'm not sure how much internet access I will have during that time, so please bare with me. Please pray for us while we are traveling.
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psa 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psa 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Eleven THOUSAND!!!!

Either something is terribly wrong with my counter below, or I had over 7000 hits yesterday! I find that highly unlikely. Unless there is that many people wanting to hear the Wyoming song?

Hmmmmm.....very suspicious

Not to mention the fact that i had that many hits and no one commented? Weird!

Random thoughts...

There are a lot of different topics I want to share. One is, "Isa 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me." but that subject is bound to piss some people off.

Another is the idea of storage units and how there are so many people that I know personally that are unwilling to get rid of all this extra stuff. Things! Furniture, clothes, knick knacks, you name it. It is covetousness. It reminds me of this lady:But again you may upset some people. Or I could talk about gambling or idolatry or various other sins.

Well, I'm sorry if people are pissed off by my calling a sin a sin! Not that I am so great, because I am just as much a sinner as the next guy. But time is very short for people to accept the FREE GIFT of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. To REPENT and turn away from all these sins and be washed and seek the Lord with a pure heart because NOW is the time He may be found.
1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
There will come a day when it will be too late for repentance. The tribulation is coming upon us. Repent Now and seek the Lord.
