New Year's Eve

What a truly amazing year it has been. This time last year I was at my parents house, filled with questions and unbelief about the things the Lord was doing in my life. Today, I am at my parents house again - and after I help them get moved out of this house - I do not know what is in store - yet I am very peaceful. All the things I experienced this year ESPECIALLY my trip to Ontario, has truly strengthened my faith in the Lord. I have no fear of the future or death or the things I was afraid of, even one short year ago. The Lord has truly proven to me that He is faithful.

I have been contemplating what my theme is for the year 2011. I have been seeking the Lord to what His will is for my theme. The first thing I think of is losing weight - but that is always on my list of resolutions. This year though, I really believe that the Lord will give me the victory in that category, because like all the categories of the flesh, the Lord wants to reveal Christ in me in that category as well.

The Lord has been truly putting 1 Corinthians 13 on my mind for the theme for next year. I know the Lord is always with me and never forsakes me. Yet, I don't always feel like I am close to the Lord. When I think about intimacy, TRUE intimacy, I realize that I have never really experienced intimacy before in my life. I have had sexual intimacy - but that is based on lust and if you scratch the surface of that lie, you find that it is not really intimacy, just a trick of the devil to make you believe that it is intimate when it is not - especially when it is not within the confines of a marriage.

When I read 1 Cor 13, I say - yeah, I've given all my possessions away and would give my body to be burned and I speak with tongues and understand ALOT of mysteries, and all the while I KNOW that I don't have charity (love) alot of the times - especially in the "is not easily provoked" category.

So my theme this year - is love. To Love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind and strength - and to truly be intimate with the Lord - and to love my neighbors as myself.

Please pray for me when you read this. My parents are both doing good. My mom is home and the doctors think she just fainted, they did not find anything wrong with her. My dad's biopsy came back and his muscle problems were caused by the evil statins he was taking for cholesterol, which he has stopped taking and is much improved. My parents just believe it was the Lord's wake up call for them to address the too many stairs issue of their house and get into a one level house. I know that there are no accidents when walking by the Spirit and I feel that it is the Lord's will that I am here to help them.

Dear Amazing Heavenly Father, You are wonderful and gracious and merciful! Thank you so much for calling me to this walk, to wait on You, and learn from you. I lift up this next year - for myself, my family, my fellow Christians out there and for this country - that your will can be done. In Jesus name. Amen.

Walking by the Spirit

The original plan yesterday was that Dad and I were going to work on the garage some more. We now have a March 1st deadline to get this house ready to show since that is when they will be putting it on the market. They are in the process of putting in an offer on another house in a 55 and older community the next town over.

My mother came in to tell me that my dad had an "epiphany." He realized that he could get extra money from his annuity since there was a clause for getting money to buy a new primary residence. My mother was on her way out to run some errands. My dad was now going to have to apply for the special annuity money and would not be able to work on the garage. I asked my mom if she wanted me to go with her to run errands. She said, "sure, you can drive."

About 10 minutes after we left the house my mom started to feel ill. I asked her if she wanted me to turn around but she said no. We ended up pulling into a local McDonald's parking lot so she could use the bathroom, but she collapsed on the pavement. I ran into the McDonald's to ask them to call 911 and I went back to help her. I was able to get her back into the car and asked her if she had eaten (my mom is diabetic.) She said she had but I gave her some juice just in case. She was very pale and disoriented. The firemen showed up almost immediately. They checked her blood and it was not her blood sugar. But she had really low blood pressure and her heartbeat was irregular.

She is at the hospital now. They took her to the hospital and the doctor thought that she just might have fainted, but he wanted to keep her overnight for observation. She was feeling better and all the tests came back negative for any heart problems. As we talked we were amazed at the Lord's timing since my mother would have been driving and alone if I had not been with her at the last minute. Also, the firemen were at the grocery store in the same parking lot as the McDonald's and that was why they were able to respond so fast.

Dear Lord, please continue to watch over my parents and heal my mother of this infirmity and rebuke any spirits of infirmity that are attacking her, in Jesus name. Thank you Lord for watching over my parents and me and guiding our paths. Thank you for never leaving or forsaking us. In Jesus name. Amen.

Open letter to the Wicked

Thus saith the Lord God Almighty:

There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die?

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

(Isaiah 48:22, Psalm 10:4, Psalms 58:3, Isaiah 55:7, Ezekiel 33:11, Acts 3:19, Acts 8:22, Acts 16:31)

Luke 2:7-20

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen [it], they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

And all they that heard [it] wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered [them] in her heart.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

For God so loved the world...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:16-17

May the Lord bless all of you today, and everyday. Have a wonderful time out there!
In Jesus name. Amen.

one more piece of straw on the camel's back

Here is the president of the United States signing the law repealing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. First of all, there was really nothing stopping gay people from serving in the military before. They just couldn't walk around flaunting it and rubbing it in people's faces the way they will be able to now.

It really shows how reprobate the leadership of this country is, if they cannot see that this is a threat to national security. Not to mention the hardship this will be on our young men and women now serving in the military who will have to undress and shower with these people. Understand I don't hate gay people. I pray that they will repent of their preverse and sinful lifestyle and be saved. Sodomy and the homosexual lifestyle opens people up to the most wicked and debase spirits out there.

The boy next door to us, the boy I was totally in love with growing up has moved back home with his parents recently. And he brought his homosexual lover with him. Everyone in the neighborhood (most of whom are old-school Catholics) are scrambling to profess their acceptance of this couple. My parents wanted to hire the guy to clean their carpet in preparation of putting their house on the market. I was adamantly opposed to it because who knows what filthy demons he would bring into this house.

Do I sound harsh? That is because our society has become so debase that no-one can see the spiritual if not the physical ramifications and consequences to that lifestyle. No-one teaches young men and women to fight off those homosexual spirits. That is why most homosexuals believe they are born that way, because those homosexual demons start attacking these people as children and because no-one has taught them to fight against them, they just accept the lies and think, "yes, I must really be gay." It is horribly sad and tragic.

Pray for those young kids currently serving in our military that they will be protected and not negatively influenced by the soon to be in-your face homosexuality that will be bombarding them. Pray for the homosexuals you may know personally, that they can be saved and delivered from these mean, evil spirits. And pray hard for our president, because the Word directs us to pray for our leadership and because this action will come down on his head.

Dear Heavenly Father, please have mercy on our president and the homosexuals that are serving in our military and will be joining the military because of this action. That they can be delivered from this lifestyle and come to a knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and thus be saved. Help the boy next store and his partner to be saved, in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Eat such things as are set before you

When Jesus sent out the seventy, he told them to "eat such things as are set before you." (Luke 10) Jesus knew that there would be people out there who maybe didn't adhere to the dietary laws super strictly. Maybe the occasional shrimp cocktail or slab of bacon made it's way into their kitchens. Then later in 1 Corinthians 10 Paul discusses how all food is clean now in the sight of the Lord, but don't ask any questions lest you find out it was sacrificed unto idols (1 Cor 10:27)

I had hoped to be on the road before Christmas. I know all about the pagan roots of Christmas, and I don't want to participate in anything with pagan roots. I've been waiting on the Lord and saying, "If it be Your Will let me be elsewhere over the holidays." The Lord has been very clear that I'm to continue at my parents house, and He provided some spending money for me to buy Christmas presents for everyone. So in alot of ways, I just can't avoid it. Maybe you understand what I mean, maybe you don't.

My father has no sons. So I'm the one that fills in the position as 'first-born son' doing the stuff a son would do like move furniture and cart the Christmas tree up several flights of stairs. I don't mind, I'm used to it - thank the Lord it says that the proverbs 31 woman strengtheneth her arms. I got one thing right anyway.

It is very strange this year, because this may be the last Christmas we have in this house. I grew up in this house. My parents have lived in this house for 35 years. This house is home in so many ways. I think the idea of moving is hard on my parents as well, although we went to go see some one level houses and my parents are starting to get excited about the prospect of moving. They may have found a house that they are willing to put in an offer on, so that is what I have been busy doing the last couple days.

The hardest part is going through the accumulation of 35 years worth of STUFF! That is what I am helping my parents to do - to help them to let go of things. Some things are harder to let go of than others. My parents have a huge dining room table and I hated the idea they would have to get rid of it because it would be too big for the new place. All our family fits around that table! But maybe the new place will be big enough and they can take it.

And all the while - I feel the prescense of the Holy Spirit in all of this. It is no accident that I am here to help. We have not gotten the results of my fathers bi-opsy yet, but I think he is in alot more pain than he is letting on and going up and down all those stairs is killing him. It's not available to wait, they have to move to a one level. The Lord is opening doors for them to get into another place - and it may even be faster than we thought. Strangely I helped another family move last year at this time. I miss them.

So I'm not sure how regularly I will be able to post for the next couple weeks. I will try to post when I can. I am planning on doing the fast for the Omega Ministries from Dec 29-Jan 1, and then for the Jentezen Franklin corporate fast from Jan 9-30, which is the very first time I have done such a long fast. But I highly recommend you look into these fasts for yourself. They are a way to get closer to the Lord and to have answers to prayer.

May the Lord pour down blessings on you during this holiday season!~

Cursed Brew

Hi. Are you a sold out for Christ Christian who thinks it's ok to have a beer now and again? Well. I'm not going to lecture you on sin or alcohol. I'm just going to warn you that YOUR adversary, the devil, walks about searching for someone to devour. The devil doesn't even HIDE anymore! He is right out there in the open and in your face. So let's look at some of our local brews - shall we?

Arrogant Bastard:
That's a picture of your adversary right there. You drink this - you become an arrogant bastard - complete with demon. Notice it says - "You're not worthy." Who is he kidding!?

Dead Guy:
If you're not dead yet - you will be after a couple of these.

Apocalypse:
This is some scary stuff right here. It even has an all seeing eye and in smaller letters says "lifting of the veil" that's secret society speak for seeing into the spirit realm. This beer is a portal to the apocalypse. This is just the devil bragging because he actually thinks he is going to win. Tsk tsk.

And my personal favorite
Ruination:
Help yourself to the spirit of Ruination. Isn't he cute?

At the very end of days - the WHOLE WORLD will be worshipping the Beast. Go to Target and look at the book section. Every cover is black and they have titles that say "Betrayed" "Twisted" Etc. That is what our kids are reading and these are the beers they are drinking. I'm just saying that you don't know what they are putting in the beer these days. Drink at your own peril and ruination!

Please, if you are not saved, repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray to the Father that you may be spared from the evil coming on this earth!

Dear Heavenly Father - Please help those people that are under the spell of alcohol and the forces of darkness. Help them to break free of the bondage of the adversary.
Thank you for the liberty we have in Christ and that you have opened our eyes to the devices of Satan. In Jesus name. Amen.

Too-Heavenly Minded

Someone said to me recently, "Have you ever heard the saying, 'You are so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good'?"

I didn't answer. Sure I've heard that saying. It is a lie from the pit of hell. First of all, it is impossible to be TOO heavenly minded. Not enough people are heavenly minded, and if you are heavenly minded, you can always endeavor to be more. Second, I certainly don't want to be 'good' according to the world's standards.

That saying is just an attack from the enemy, to say, once again - you and all your talking about Jesus and the bible - you just don't fit in. I'm glad I don't fit in, that I'm "no earthly good." Everyday I strive to be MORE heavenly minded, to seek God AND His righteousness. To seek to enter in the narrow way and get off the broad path that leads to destruction.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that love according to your Word is doing Your Will in all things and not about our fickle feelings that ebb and flow. Thank you that you are so merciful and graceful with us every day. In Jesus name. Amen.

New World Next Week

Jesus said, "If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you heavenly things?" (John 3:12) These things are really happening in our country and our world. Dark times are coming. Pray to the Father that we can be accounted worthy to escape the things coming on the land.

Stuff going on

Here is my latest finished quilt. I finished it a couple weeks ago and gave it to my niece for her 13th birthday. I started another one yesterday that is exactly the same except this one is 5 squares by 7 where the last one was 5 by 5.

I've been making cookies to send to my children. Yesterday I made peppermint bark, russian tea cakes and some very yummy fudge. Today I will be making pecan tartlets, oatmeal cookies that have craisens and white chocolate chips and some spritz cookies.

Here are a couple articles online that amazingly hit the nail on the head for me and some of the stuff I am going through.

THE HOUR OF ISOLATION

Breakthrough - December 07, 2010

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that obedience is more important than our feelings. Thank you for always being with us and for all the trials and tribulations that you give us to perfect us and strengthen us. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

More on Fasting

Every year the Jentezen Franklin ministry does a corporate 21-day fast. It is an excellent way to start the year, spiritually. If you are interested in participating you can learn more about it here:

Jentezen Franklin Fasting Home Page

If you would like to do a Daniel Fast - which is a good fast for those who can't fast entirely - here is an excellent resource:

Those who hunger

If you want to start the year out right, consider doing a fast to the Lord. Use this month to prepare yourself.

Sidenote: I have not been able to blog daily like I would like. Alot of things are going on at the moment. It looks like my parents may have to move (their house is paid off, so that is not the reason.) It is because they have a split level house and there are stairs going up and stairs going down and it is getting very difficult for my parents to be able to navigate all the stairs. They are going to have to look into moving from the house they have lived in for 35 years and move into a single level home. It is looking at the moment that it is the will of the Lord for me to help them with all the work in moving. So I will be very busy for a while and will try to blog when I can.

The World has gone crazy! Oh - but you knew that

I saw this kit at the store the other day. It says, "Magic Science for wizards only. - Make your own wizard wand - CAST COLOR-CHANGING SPELLS - Magic at your fingertips" I was just shocked that they even sell this trash, but you should read what some mothers wrote on the comments page of this product:
DOES NOT INCLUDE SMOKING FINGER TRICK!
by AllowayMom

November 07, 2009: This kit isn't as advertised. The kit pictured has 11 activities, including a smoking finger kit. The one that arrived at our house clearly says 10 activities. The reason I chose this kit over others for my 9-yr-old daughter was the smoking finger trick, many of the experiments are similar to those in other kits (such as the Steve Spangler kits.) The wizard aspect is unique, and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow, unlike other science kits.
This mom only gave the product 3 stars and did you catch what she said? The reason she chose this was for the smoking finger trick and there was no smoking finger trick! Wow. what a nice mom. Another mom had this to say:
Too Messy
by M13

April 22, 2009: I got this kit for my 7 year old..soon to be 8 and this kit was nothing but a mess. The powders and crystal are all over the place and they tend to stain a bit. Within a few days we got rid of the kit..the only thing worth while from the kit is making the magic wand. The smoke stuff sticks everywhere and smells. Do not buy this kit it will only make you work hard for the little you spend...Good luck if you have already bought it!
These poor lost moms don't even SEE the fact that witchcraft and wizardry and sorcery are totally evil and forbidden by the word of God. This harmless seeming toy is a gateway for evil demonic spirits to enter your cute little 7-9 year old! But Harry Potter and other things just make these things acceptable. Before I was saved I read Harry Potter and let my kids read it and now I really wish I had known better - who knows what doors may have been opened by that.

Please understand that toys like this are NOT harmless. This little wizard set is very obvious, but there are similar toys that are more subtil seeming but just as dangerous spiritually.

Dear Heavenly Father. Please open the eyes of these moms and protect these children from dangerous toys that teach witchcraft and sorcery. In Jesus name. Amen.
