I watched the movie, “The Creator” this last weekend. I think that if the movie had been given any other name, it would not have been so controversial at the time. Here is the trailer:
I actually loved the movie. Of course, I'm a huge science fiction fan anyway. Not that this movie wasn't filled with predictive programming and pushing an agenda. It definitely was. (Spoiler alert!) The American Military was definitely the bad guys, ruthless and unsympathetic. And all the robots, especially the ones with realistic human faces, were kind and helpful, just wanting to be left alone to raise the human children in their care.
The robots were even “spiritual”. Some were Buddhists and some would be holding prayer beads, etc. Of course they worshiped pagan gods. Idols such as themselves. The entire premise of the movie was to get people to feel sorry for the AI and to see them as the good guys. I can see how people could come away feeling exactly that.
But like I said, it was science fiction. Here is where we are in real life:
Now, I actually suspect that some of those clips of robots doing side flips could be CGI. Not completely buying it at this point. But, who knows. I don't see any robots around in real life yet. Also, when we are talking about military applications for AI and robot technology, let's remember WHO the enemy really is. It's not China or Russia or North Korea. It is us, the general populace around the world. I'm sure all the heads of state in all the countries would just love to send swarms of drones after us. It's all part of the plan, eventually.
And, frankly, it really pisses me off when they talk about robots and AI being care givers at nursing homes. Whoever is designing this evil technology has NEVER taken care of an elderly person before. But then again, they would love to have vulnerable seniors who can't fight back at their mercy. I'm sure the care a robot would give in a nursing home would be more like the following video and not the way they are portrayed in the movies:
Take care out there.

I'd like to watch the whole "The Creator" movie, what I observed in the clip was definitely predictive programming. My only saving grace thought is what one man can design and build, another man can destroy it. When too many parts and sophistication is present it is far easier to gum up the works. I don't think AI can ever be prescient, but certainly enhance our elites to be more powerful and ruthless, it is up to us to deny them that. Always put a monkey into the wrench... And stop carrying around your chain and marker.
