Pentagon Spending in Bizarro World

According to Congresswoman Summer Lee (D-PA) – the Pentagon is spending roughly 41.6 million dollars on Viagra. She thinks that money could be used to fix bridges in her area. (What is it about politicians and bridges?)

On the other hand – the Pentagon was asking for more money to fund abortions – which was voted down last Friday.

Hhmmmm. So lots of Viagra being doled out and lots of servicewomen getting pregnant. I wonder if there is some sort of correlation here? Nah. Probably not. (rolls eyes)

Another payday without the dollar crashing. Thank God for that. I've been seriously trying to pay down my debts but since we have been here in Kansas we have had to fix the car $1400, replace the water heater $1400 and get the air conditioner fixed $700. Once it stops being too hot and starts to get too cold, we have to get the heater fixed. Home ownership is a never ending cycle of stuff to fix. Sigh.

Hope you all are well. Have a good weekend! See you on Sunday.

Your RV water heater was that much? Did the RV tech see "sucker" written in black marker on your forehead? I am sorry Wendy, that is way too much for a water heater and did that include labor, I pray it did... Plumbing and electrical are easy! Helps to know a bit about 'em and have some mechanical skills.

The services have always been a social experiment writ large. You think all those generals, colonels and majors want to pay for that themselves? That is the semi-dirty secret of the services, it is already a socialist paradise, already communist in it's milieu.

yes - the price of the water heater included labor. and it was winter. which is what caused the water heater to break in the first place. my husband used to be able to do some of the fixing himself, but not anymore.

it could be the rv repair guy saw sucker. but he is the only guy in town that will come to your spot to fix it. in winter. we went three weeks without hot water (or any water) before the parts came in. remember I live in the middle of no where.
