(pooh pooh) it could be used to bring about a dark dystopian
future, but look at all the good things!

Rights and responsibility empowered by governments... You want wishful thinking governments and corporations will respect our "cognitive" right to free thinking. This is a technology maturing by them to push you past being productive, to be compliant and controlled. Bombard you by injecting patterns for you to comply, be the busy little beaver office drone and be happy, be happy with nothing and worship the true fascist state. Why I am glad I am not in an work place right now. I would be rebellious! I noticed the woman speaker was "using" a lot of buzzwords and phrases to entrance and alter the audiences reception to her talk, nothing more then a carnival barker... I know, it is a technique we use in behavioral therapy to gain compliance and alter thinking in our patients and clients. I wasn't swayed by her, in fact repulsed.
I plan on being a Luddite, I am "happy" with the level of technology I am using as it still requires a manual input by my fingers or hands. It gets more invasive like that and my computer will be ditched after a game of wack the 'puter with a 22 pound sledge hammer. Same goes for cars and if I have to wear a hat or a ear bud with a sensor, the sensor may find an enjoyable trip through the sewer system.
