Nationwide Flight Disruption Due to FAA Computer System Failure

According to alerts that I got on both my phone and by email (8 of them to be exact) there was some sort of computer system failure that resulted in at least 1200 flights being grounded. This strangely occurred on 1.11.22 at 11:11am eastern standard time.

Probably just a beta test. I feel sorry for anyone that is flying these days.

I found this little (unrelated) tidbit yesterday:

I don't fly commercial aircraft so they could ground the whole fleet. Bring back trains, so it takes a day or two. Relax, sip a drink and enjoy a sumptuous dinner peacefully and not worry the pilots are dead from the vaxx and you are plummeting in a fire ball to earth... Yeah, trains.

I rode from Oregon to Montana and back on a train. It was nice. I definitely have no plans to fly at all these days. I actually prefer good old road trips in the car. I dont mind if it takes a week, just another way to see the country.

Oh yeah, now that I like to do, just travel the back roads and the less traveled trails and see parts of the country you didn't know existed. Do it at a leisurely speed and if it takes you three days to do a 100 miles, time well spent and you get to explore towns and small museums and those out of the way antique and swap meets. That is a life and I miss it.

Plus - if you have ever driven a couple days in this country you really know what a lie the idea of over population is. there is SO much land in this country that is just empty. It really is beautiful too.
