The finger of God

When Pharoah's magicians could no longer counterfeit the plagues the Lord was sending on Egypt they exclaimed, "This is the finger of God (Elohim)!" The magicians could not duplicate the plague of lice using devil spirit power, like they had before with the blood and the frogs. (Ex 8:19)

The original stone tables of testimony given to Moses at Mt. Sinai were written with the finger of God. (Ex 31:18, Deu 9:10)

David the Psalmist wrote about the fingers of God when he said, "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained" (Psalms 8:3)

Jesus also said he used the finger of God to cast out demons. (Luke 11:20)

The finger of God represents God's amazing power. God can send plagues, put the stars in their orbits, cast out demons, whatever He wants because nothing is impossible for Him. God has more power in his little finger than the adversary can even dream about! With His one finger, he could squish the devil like a bug.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are so wonderful and awesome. Thank you for your Word that we may know about your amazing power and might and mercy and truth. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
