Glass in the flour

I did not sleep well last night. I woke up several times and immediately started praying in tongues. I felt as if a great spiritual battle was taking place. When I woke up this morning, I felt battleworn.

I had a dream the other night where I was filling a glass pickle jar with flour. The next thing I knew, the jar had broken. I was very upset by that. I wasn't upset about the jar, since it was just an old pickle jar. But I was very upset about the flour because there was glass in it now. You can't just pick out the pieces of glass and still use the flour, because there could be microscopic shards that you can't see. All the flour would have to be thrown out.

I thought about what would happen if you used the flour to make bread. It reminded me of what satan has done to the truth. There is doctrine out there that is like eating bread that has microscopic pieces of glass in it. It looks like bread. It smells homemade just like bread. It tastes like bread. But once you eat it, it rips you up from the inside out, but you would not be able to figure out why.

a little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Doctrine is a tricky thing. The same verse of scripture that teaches a babe in Christ milk, also fills the mature believer with meat. The Lord is the one that reveals truths to us in His Word. There are people who are ever-learning and never come to a knowledge of the Truth. Then there is the adversary who likes to get his evil twist on things and put it out there as the truth. Jesus is the Truth and the Bread of Life. Every scripture is about Him and needs to be looked at with the filter of Christ. The truth is precious and it is only the love of the truth that saves people from the strong delusion. Examine what your are eating, whether it is pure truth from above, or tainted polluted doctrine from below. The time when they will not endure sound doctine is the days we are living in.

Dear Heavenly Father, please show us the truth of your pure word from the doctines of devils and the error of the world. Thank you for always being with us and teaching us with your Holy Spirit, line upon line, precept upon precept. Thank you for your Son Jesus Christ - who is the truth and the bread of life. Thank you for giving us your Word, that we may know You and your love for us. In Jesus name. Amen.
