I'm glad to see that I was not the only person upset by the last couple postings by Joseph Herrin. The reason I was upset is because I know the things Joseph wrote about polygamy in the Word of God is totally true. My soul and my flesh cry out "NO IT'S NOT FAIR!" and the very temptation is to rail on the messenger (Joseph). But I did not rail at him because I have to seek the Will of the Lord in all things. I have a very sinful past that was brought back up to my mind while reading these posts and it is a very delicate subject for anyone who has not has a pure sexual life up until now. Our culture here in America is saturated with sexual immorality and I have been just as guilty in my past. The Lord has forgiven me for my past sins and I am to forget those things which are behind and reach forward to unto the things ahead. (Phillipians 3:13)
The Lord gave me specific verses at the beginning of this trip for me to hold onto in times of heartache or doubt. He gave me Isaiah 54 but specifically:
Isa 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Isa 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
so until the Lord says different, the Lord is my husband. He has also given specific guidelines on the subject to women (harsh as it may be to our flesh and minds to grasp.):
1Cr 7:34 There is difference [also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please [her] husband.
1Cr 7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
1Cr 7:36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of [her] age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
1Cr 7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
1Cr 7:38 So then he that giveth [her] in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth [her] not in marriage doeth better.
1Cr 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
1Cr 7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
Here is the latest post from Joseph Herrin asking for patience on this subject
Patience Urged
Joseph Herrin is a man who is walking by the spirit of the Lord. He has taken on a very contraversial subject and I have seen by multiple proofs that he tries to do the will of the Father in everything he does. I believe he has the ministry of an apostle, since apostles bring new light to a generation, and although my flesh has had a hard time reading these posts (which I believe are inspired and completely 100% on the Word), they are definately new light on the subject. Please pray for him as he continues to teach on this subject.
