The overcomer of Revelation...

The Greek word "Nikao" (G3528 in Strong's Concordence) is translated "overcomer" or "overcometh" 24 out of 29 times in the new testament. I believe it should be translated overcomer or overcometh every time because it really changes the meaning of that controversial verse Revelations 6:2., but I will say more about that later. But first, I want to list the verses where it is used in Revelation.
Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Rev 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed (should be translated as Overcome)to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
So now the irony was, I was checking to see what the words "conquering" and to "conquer" in Rev 6:2 when I found out that it was the same word as overcomer, overcometh that is G3528 from Strong's concordance Nikao.

Here is the verse as it is translated:

Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Here is the same verse translated the same way as the other verses:

Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth overcoming, and to overcome.

Who's riding the white horse now? By all means, do your own research, make your own decision.

Later in Revelation the beast is able to overcome the saints and kill them. Rev. 11:7, Rev. 12:11, 13:7.

But with all those overcomers in the churches, it would be logical to think that the white horse rider is one of them, and not the anti-christ as some have taught.

I'm not posting this as a teaching. Just a little nugget of chewy goodness that the Lord has revealed to me today that I wanted to share. Check it for yourself!

Thank you Lord - and please give us grace to be the Overcomers in Revelation.

Ok you need to read this...

I just heard about this story from another blog - but I highly recommend reading this. It is making me cry it is so beautiful

the Journey

My parents have asked me to stay with them through the winter because they hated the idea of me staying in a tent freezing my tail end off. (I hated that idea as well) I have been using this time to spend time with the Lord in his Word. I just found out what my calling is. Helps. I helped two different people get to California, I helped my aunt have garage sales, and helped my dad clean and organize his office and garage. Today I am helping some drowning people find an apartment since they are being evicted. So I believe the Lord will send me next to a place where I will be able to help people, and learn the spiritual lessons He wants me to learn. I am grateful for the trials in my life. Thank you Lord.

The wages of sin are death...

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I use to belong to a little (mind-control) cult called "The Way International". They were based on the bible but twisted things ever so slightly as to change the meaning. When ever they would teach on this verse, they would say, "Sin is death, in part or in whole." Well, that verse doesnt say anything about in part. It just says Death. Wages are what you get paid for the work that is done.

In this world we have two choices, sin unto death, or eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Here is the context of this verse:
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Rom 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Rom 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
Rom 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
Rom 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things [is] death.
Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Paul struggled with sin as well. Because our flesh is weak
Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin [was] dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which [was ordained] to life, I found [to be] unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [me].
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Sin begins in the mind. We can put on the mind of Christ and lead every thought captive. 1 cor 2:16,

2Cr 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are to die to sin and then renew our minds by putting on the mind of Christ and leading EVERY thought captive to the obedience of Christ. But even so, come Lord Jesus!

Excuse me while I barf...

Okay, lets just break this down shall we? After a long day of constant brainwashing on global warming and co2 lies, the little girl has nightmares. I would too if I'd watched that much propaganda! Then her total idiot father takes her to the copenhagen website?! Yeah that's realistic. Then it ends with, "We have the power to save the world. now." It should add in parenthesis (but we aren't going to). These people dont care about the earth or little girls either. Now if we could all just stop exhaling the world would be a better place. Grrrr!

Climategate - coming to a life near you!

Make of that what you will. Oh yeah and I wanted to say this too:

Coke is leading the brainwashing PR campaign to get the sleeping masses to be on board with their own downfall in the form of their Hopenhagen.
Lord Jesus, Come quickly!

Wow! My very first troll!

Just kidding, welcome Kevin. I really appreciate my followers. Feel free to comment!

So I feel very stirred in my spirit to comment on Christmas. Here is a teaching from David Eells on the subject:

Christmas

More from David Eells can be found here.
Also Pastor David J. Meyers has written tracts on Christmas here and here.
I dont want to celebrate Christmas due to it's pagan roots. My family all get so insulted if I dont so sometimes I have to go in order to "honor my father and mother". I got my son a present, not for Christmas mind you, but so he doesnt feel like his mom didnt get him anything. I go through this every year. Just wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way.

oh the flesh is weak...

I ate too many cookies and now I feel sick. I am pretty much done where I am at but I dont know where to go next and I dont have hardly any money. I am praying to the Lord for a CLEAR instruction on what to do next.

Psa 25:1 [[[A Psalm] of David.]] Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Psa 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Psa 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psa 25:6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they [have been] ever of old.
Psa 25:7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
Psa 25:8 Good and upright [is] the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
Psa 25:9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psa 25:10 All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Psa 25:11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it [is] great.
Psa 25:12 What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
Psa 25:13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
Psa 25:14 The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Psa 25:15 Mine eyes [are] ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
Psa 25:16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I [am] desolate and afflicted.
Psa 25:17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: [O] bring thou me out of my distresses.
Psa 25:18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Psa 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Psa 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Psa 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Psa 25:22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Pray for me dear readers.
