Back Spasms

I had a 3 day weekend for the holiday. I also had some major back spasms. So by necessity, I spent the weekend babying my back so that I didn't become completely incapacitated.

My fully vaxxed and boosted father in law will be driving up from Florida in a couple weeks for a short visit. Not sure what we will talk about. Sigh.

Take care out there.

I have not tried that. I definitely need to look into something. I'd take a good old fashioned muscle relaxer if I could get my hands on one.

I'm going to second the suggestion from JL. Yoga can do a world of good.
I would try it; but I don't look good in yoga pants....so I'll stick with my chiropractor.

Treating your angry muscles to a cold pack, then heating pad, swapping out every fifteen to twenty minutes will help with the inflammation. Inflamed stuff Hurts.
I'm at week 8,following a procedure that put two 1/4" titanium spacers in and three rods and six screws. All lower lumbar stuff. I had been seeing a chiropractor at a clinic that did trigger point injections and physical therapy. After one particularly vigorous adjustment I had numbness and tingling in my left leg. I got them to refer me to an orthopedic clinic. They did an MRI and it showed things that should Not experience a chiropractic adjustment. Full disclosure, I've been using chiropractors for decades to real benefit. But the bulging disks were impinging on the spinal column, and the vertebrae were narrowing from arthritis. If your back is Slowly getting worse, and your life is getting smaller because you just can't do what needs done, get looked at. And X-Ray doesn't show enough. The difficulty of getting over this surgery has been really minimal. Nothing like rotator cuff surgery. IDK where you are or who is available, I'm in Longview Texas and went to Azalea orthopedic in Tyler. Dr.Raabe, pronounced Robbie, changed my life.

wow justin! Hope you are feeling better! I'm in Kansas. Probably won't be seeing any doctor's any time soon. I think it was just overdoing stuff. It is definitely better today.
