That One Time, At Band Camp, When I Cleaned Up the Streets of San Francisco

I don't understand why everyone keeps insisting that the streets of San Francisco were covered by homeless camps, not to mention so many piles of poop that they had to make an app for it. There were never any homeless camps! (We have always been at war with East Asia). These aren't the homeless camps you're looking for. Move along.

Those mean streets have always been empty, swept and garnished. Anyone who says different is one of those tin foil hat people.

Los Angeles on the other hand, once had homeless camps all over the place, but somehow, an enormous amount of them have recently been hit by a rash of “brush fires”. Hhmmmm.

We're Gonna Take Bold Action to Put an End to This Problem Immedi-- uh....

A Few Notes on the Los Angeles-Mode lFavela

Nothing to see here people. Oh, and vote harder.

Take care out there.

I see our future Wendy! Free electricity and water? Gonna have to fight for it, but strong always win... No need to keep your crap at the last place you lived, bring it with you and park it on the street, no one is gonna bother it, especially the city or county. Four or five room mansions? I had no idea the level of sophistication and upper middle class of bums.

Totally! I can totally see the shanty town now - as long as there is no brush fires planned

It's hard to lie to the people who are LIVING the TRUTH!

I was stationed in the Bay Area in the Coast Guard for over half my 21-year career, so I'm quite familiar with San Francisco. It had its seedy areas; the Tenderloin "South Of Market" area comes to mind. Other than that though, it was a pretty clean place, and VERY family friendly. We took our kids there MANY times.

I haven't been there for quite some time, but have coworkers that go there fairly regularly. All of them have told me that the place is a steaming pile of manure now, and that they'd never take their kids there. That's NOT the San Francisco I remember...

L.A... Newsom will say ANYTHING to deflect blame from himself. First off, the city actually LEASES the spaces under the elevated freeways to private parties. They KNOW what those spaces are being used for. This space was used for the storage of forklift pallets which, by the way, burn like dired out Christmas trees. The city, as well as the STATE, are doing NOTHING about the bums who are camping under those freeways. Now; let's see; bums camping under the freeways with their prerequisite campfires right up against a storage area for forklift pallets... What could POSSIBLY go wrong there? Many of the major wildfires in southern California are also being started by bums camping in the riverbeds and under the freeway overpasses. This is ultimately NEWSOM'S FAULT.

I loved San Francisco when I was a kid. I loved Portland as well. It's really too bad that they don't just arrest Newsom. Another traitor on the loose.

That doesn't look like Homeless people possessions going up.
That looks like densely packed ,very flammable stuff. I see pallets, but, hey,we all know pallets are just prefabricated wall sections. And they burn Hot.
I wonder how many times someone who knew what they were looking at, like a fireman, code inspector, someone who looked at that and knew if that stuff went up, it wasn't gonna be a five minute hosing.. And just kept going..
