I'd much prefer to deal in some actual money that can still be freely used rather than central bank digital currency any day of the week. That's one way to fight the evil control freaks. I wonder if I can get my job to pay me in these? Lol.

Interesting concept. I can see that being used, especially when the bsfiat reserve note goes completely insolvent, kaput, bankrupt. This isn't a new concept, banks in different states use to issue their own currency backed with what the bank had in assets and physical monetary metals. I can see going back to that, or states issuing their own money backed by monetary metals, as people would not accept anything fiat.
I don't know. I'm reading and hunting for something that stands head and shoulders above the other potential answers. Since IDK hoot about methane and how it can be tricky, this is another possibility. But how do you get water in a pipeline with higher pressure in the pipeline than the water pressure at that depth?
